This page explains what data CozyGames stores, how you can delete it, and how long any backups are kept. CozyGames is a single-player offline game app that does not require login or collect personal information.
What data is stored
- On your device only: game progress (completed levels), app settings (language, sound, music), and entitlement status (whether you have purchased the unlock).
- With our payment processor RevenueCat: if you made a purchase, an anonymous app-generated user ID and the Google Play purchase token are stored to enable cross-install restore. We never receive or store your name, email address, or payment-card details.
How to delete your local data
- On your Android device, open Settings → Apps → CozyGames → Storage → Clear data. This wipes all game progress, settings and entitlement state from the device.
- Or simply uninstall the app — Android removes all locally stored data automatically.
How to delete data held by RevenueCat
- Send an email to support@cozygames.app with the subject line Data deletion request.
- Include the following in the body of the email:
- Your CozyGames anonymous app user ID. To find it: open the app, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap the value next to App ID to copy it. If you can't access the app, just say so — we can locate the record by purchase token instead.
- Approximate date of purchase, if applicable.
- Confirmation that you want all associated records erased.
- Within 30 days we will forward the request to RevenueCat, which will permanently erase the records under their privacy policy. You will receive an email confirmation when the deletion is complete.
Refunds and Google Play purchase records
If you would also like a refund, request it via Google Play directly: Google Play refund process. Google manages its own purchase records under Google's privacy policy — we have no control over data Google retains.
What gets deleted vs. retained
- Deleted on request: RevenueCat anonymous user ID, associated purchase tokens, and any device metadata RevenueCat captured (model, OS version, app version, country code).
- Retained: aggregated and de-identified billing records that RevenueCat is legally required to keep for tax and audit purposes (typically up to 7 years, depending on jurisdiction). These records cannot be linked back to you after your account ID is erased.
